On initiating a new spin, a new Megaways number is generated at the top of the screen, relaying how many permissible ways to win there are for that spin.  These can vary from as little as e.g 860 ways up to a peak of 117, 649. Though 6 reels across, each of Bonanza’s reels may hold anything between 2 and up to 7 symbols.  The top reel holds up to 6 symbols.
